SUGGESTED CLOTHING LIST

Due to the fact that we will be painting in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, there are a few suggestions that will make your experience more enjoyable. We have intentionally planned the workshop in the summer months because most of the snow is gone, and the days are warmer. We will not paint outside if it is raining , but dress warm because the mornings and wind can be colder than you think. The rule is "Prepare for the worst, hope for the best." Dress in layers. Here is what I am bringing:
Warm hiking boots
Wool or Fleece sweater
Turtle neck shirt
Hat for sun
Long sleeve shirts
Hat for warmth
Long underwear
Light fingerless gloves
Warm socks (wool)
Sun Screen min. 15 SPF
Storm pants (gortex is best)
Lip protection for high alpine use
Storm jacket (some use coveralls)
Water bottle |
I like "Wind Stopper" material for my jacket, gloves, and hat for warmth. Polypropylene is best for long underwear. Leather, waterproof hiking boots are best. A broad rim "Fedora" style hat is best for sun protection. It is a lot easier to take off too much clothing that it is to put on clothing that you do not have with you.
